Declaration of Use & License

This database is an open, curated project by me, Veronika Gasser, that collects, consolidates, and makes accessible information about the German games industry, mostly in form of fundings, games and companies. It was created on my own initiative, with considerable time investment and the aim of promoting transparency, research, and exchange. More about the project.

Professional & commercial use

Using and citing is always fine, also at work. You may look things up here and use what you find in your work, for example in news reporting, market analyses, internal decisions, reports, or presentations to customers, investors, or policy-makers, as long as you name the source.

If you or your organisation use the database regularly or professionally, please consider supporting the project. Its creation and maintenance are not free of charge, and a contribution helps keep the database open and up to date for everyone.

Taking over larger parts of the data commercially needs my permission first. This includes, for example:

For this, a financial contribution is the condition. Please contact me by email. If you are unsure which case applies to you, just ask.

Transparency & Liability

The data has been compiled to the best of my knowledge and information available, but may contain errors or omissions. There is no guarantee of accuracy or completeness, so please don't treat it as such. Corrections and comments are welcome at any time.

Why public?

Why not? This started as a private project and still is. I just want to give something back to this community :)

If you use this project and somehow benefit from it, I would be delighted if you would contribute to its continuation or share it with other people so that it gets more visibility.
